Our Team
Experience that Adds Up
VersaWater is the ideal team to succeed in improving clean water access. For 20 years, engineers from Cornell University and AguaClara Reach have been implementing elegantly simple drinking water treatment plants. The Center for Education, Conservation, and Research at Inter American University of Puerto Rico has been working with small communities for over 30 years monitoring water quality and preparing operators for certification. The Institute for Sustainability Engagement (ISE) at Syracuse University provides technical assistance and training related to water infrastructure finance and project planning across U.S. EPA Region 2 via ISE’s Environmental Finance Center.
Together, our team combines decades of on-the-ground experience, technical expertise, and community-focused support to help small communities move from water challenges to solutions that are reliable, affordable, and built to perform when it matters most.
Supported by the NSF Convergence Accelerator
Funded by a U.S. National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Convergence Accelerator award, VersaWater advances innovative water systems. The team’s Phase 1 work developed proof-of-concept toward a competitive Phase 2 proposal for broader impact. The project was selected for Phase 2 funding and work is currently underway.
