Our Research
Our research is grounded in practice. By building on proven systems and testing new approaches in real communities, VersaWater continues to refine solutions that are reliable, adaptable, and ready to meet the needs of small water systems.
Our partners at AguaClara Reach have built 26 full-size water treatment plants in Honduras over the past 20 years, serving clean water to thousands of residents. These systems, their history, and improving technology serve as the precursor to development of the PF250, the technical center piece of VersaWater’s “utility-in-a-box” water treatment system.
AguaClara Reach Plants (Central America)
The first field installation of the PF250 took place in December 2025 at a local community farm, Plenitud, in Puerto Rico. This site was crucial to VersaWater testing out the construction process for a real-world application. In addition, Plenitud serves as a connection to the local community as we conduct site visits and demos with residents and community water board leaders.

Coming Soon! PF250 Installation at Cornell University (New York)
With prototypes already in place for research and development, an official install of the PF250 is slated for spring 2026 at the Cornell University Water Treatment Plant.
